So not totally trying to turn this blog into a parent blog, but we're almost 8 months in and I feel I'd be doing a complete disservice to not share my favorite baby products with other Mom's out there! With the baby industry being a bottomless consumerism pit - I dedicated hours upon hours of research on things before adding them to our registry / purchasing & even returned some stuff that I found wasn't in fact necessary. All babies and moms are different on their preferences, but my insight comes from a new Mom perspective with a smaller home, a limited budget & someone not trying to have every single gadget that the baby market pushes. I'm also sharing things I wish I would have registered for!

All featured items can be shopped HERE!

Let's go! -
Baby Monitor
Love this one! Super user friendly - two cameras and the wireless screen battery lasts awhile! Plus it has a zoom in feature for anxious Mom's like myself that check his breathing with chest movement 385735839783 a night! 😅 This does not hook up to wifi and I purposely didn't want it to because I didn't like the idea of someone potentially ever being able to hack into our camera and invade our privacy. I've seen way too many stories about that. Plus it was more reasonably priced compared to others.
Baby Car Camera
THIS! I love this baby car camera and cannot recommend it enough! It's much safer than a mirror - because you don't have to look away from the road as long to try and see baby an from what I was told - a mirror can be a safety hazard in event of a crash. It is a night mode for nighttime driving too! Very affordable and an amazing gift for any Mom!
Skip Me Hop Activity Table
Love this thing! My boy has aged out of the swing, only likes the bouncer for so long & when he couldn't sit up on his own totally yet it was very helpful! Plus at times when Mommy needs her hands free and he wants to burn some energy and play - this thing is great! I actually found mine on marketplace for $30 and just gave it a really good clean! Totally recommend trying that first before paying full price!
Dr. Browns Sterilizer & Dryer
Highly recommend! This device! It sterilizes and dries the bottles all in one! Plus it holds a decent amount of bottles for cleaning! There's a lot of baby bottle washing gadgets out there - be careful you don't need all of it. We literally have a specific brush for his bottles and this. No bottle warmer, no bin in the sink, etc.
Boppy Pillow
My cousin gifted us an extra one she had and we use it SO MUCH! This isn't just for breast feeding! It's great for bottle feeding and we've used it to help him in his sitting up transition. It's great for tummy time, he has also laid on his back on it while playing, etc. I could go on and on about the various uses! My recommendation is to register for a few of these - 1 for the nursery for late night feedings, 1 for the living room and 1 for your master bedroom - trust me - you will thank me. Rather than lugging it around room to room - just have a few in each room and it's so much easier. I found these were also pretty cheap at Ross!
Sound Machine
Love this one! Very inexpensive, lots of different settings/sounds and can be controlled from your phone. It's portable and wireless and can be charged. We typically leave it plugged in though!
Ubbi Diaper Pal
I won't lie - the idea of an expensive diaper pal sounded unnecessary to me, but everyone assured me this is the way to go over a regular trash can as the regular trash can will not dilute the odor as much. Not that we don't change this out frequently, but I certainly didn't want to have to change it several times a day due to stench! This one is nice because you don't have to buy special bags like other brands - you can use a regular ole trash bag and it holds A LOT of diapers like WOW! I was sticker shocked when I first looked these up - who knew a device to put put dirty diapers in could be so pricey?! But I got lucky and found it on marketplace - I mean it's a trash can essentially who cares if it's secondhand. We bought it nearly new, but still gave it a good cleaning job and boom there we had it!
Changing Table Mat
I LOVE this changing table mat - it's a knock off of the Keekaroo - but also another thing I couldn't justify dropping a $150 on. This one is a fraction of the cost and great for cleaning! If you have a little boy... you'll wanting something you can wipe down... trust me!
Towel Warmer
My baby LOVES baths! Before he was born I did plenty of research on how to get him to like them! Warm water - obvi and keep a warm wash rag on them at all times during the bath so they don't get cold. Then when I pulled him out we wrapped him up in a cozy warm towel from a towel warmer. Could I just throw it in the dryer instead of buying this? Yes, but be for real - is your dryer ever empty to do that? Cause mine ain't! I wanted one of these for myself for awhile and having River just gave me even more a reason to finally make the purchase!
Electric Nail Filer/Trimmer
This gadget is great for taking care of babies nails without fear of hurting them! It's very user friendly and honestly would be a great, inexpensive gift for a Mom-to-be!
Things I wish I would have registered for:
Child proof safety stuff - outlet covers, cabinet locks, etc. You focus so much on baby stuff that you forget they'll be on the move soon & that stuff can add up!
More crib sheets - we have 3 but he drools a lot lol so it looks like we didn't wash them after like a day - I ended up buying more because I like to change his crib sheet out a few times a week.
More nursing pillows - Mentioned why up above ^
More zipper sleepers - I quickly bought more because I didn't have enough. I put him in outfits when we went out, but at home we have in zipper sleepers and they were really nice for changing. I don't recommend any sleepers with buttons - at 2am you don't want to deal with that.
Walker/Skip Me Hop - I was fortunate to find them on marketplace, but def register for these!
One thing with baby products I find - is that if you love something - someone else out there probably hates it! Baby gear is very parent preference based! But these I've shared are the things I truly loved and used for our first baby that I personally recommend! I hope you like these products just as much as I do!
Thanks for reading!

Bouncer
This is great for times you need your arm free and to give baby their own time.
Stuff I didn't need -
Again this is all personal preference, but sharing my perspective!
Bottle Warmer - we always made room temperature bottles and it has been way more convenient.
Changing Cart - I see these stocking videos all over social media and I personally feel like it's just another consumerism trap. We have a one story, 1300 sq ft home - if he needs changed I can simply go right to his room with a few strides and change him. Now if I had a two story home - I'd feel differently, but I don't feel everyone needs these especially if the nursery is right there to access and change them. Plus the idea of changing him on my couch with all the dog hair, etc. just has never sounded sanitary to me.
Things I WISH I would have registered for -
Baby Home Safety Stuff - thing outlet covers, cabinet & toilet seat locks, etc. It sounds crazy because when you're pregnant you're more so focused on all things early baby stages not for later on. This kind of stuff adds up quick and before you realize it - you need it!
More baby eating utensils - again further out thinking, but more plates, eating utensils, cups, etc. 6 months is when they can officially start on solids & I only had 3 plates and two spoons for him.
Restuarant Baby Supplies - portable high chair, disposable bibs, disposable placemat, toys that suction to the table - all things for baby when he's bigger and can sit up!
Anti-choking device - I did register for this, but didn't get it. However, I do highly recommend registering for this for when baby starts eating!
